How I use Tapelet
Some pics from my small home studio/office.
Recording Song IdeasI have three mics set up at all times in my home office, a stereo ribbon for acoustic, and a dynamic on vocals. If I'm practicing and I hit on something I like, I quickly open Tapelet to capture the idea. Later, I might drag it into Logic to polish it up with EQ, compression etc.
Guitar DII have my Suhr Corso plugged into the audio interface at all times, and my UAD Apollo is set up with a cab sim on that channel. So if I'm jamming over a backing track, I can quickly use Tapelet to capture the MON channels with the backing track, and also the line in from the amp.
KeysI don't do a ton with synths and keyboards (mine are too small!), but you in theory you can capture the output from your MON channels as a quick way of recording ideas with Tapelet. Or, if you have a synth with a line out, you can run those straight into your audio interface to record on multiple tracks.
Testing & DevelopmentHere's a shot of my desk. I test Tapelet with a UAD X4 and also the interfaces from my Osbot camera, and the macbook mic. In this pic you can see XCode and Tapelet running whilst I'm developing it.
